chambers + Scholl

BY DENISE MASON CHAMBERS

I am convinced that when God creates us, He draws from an endless array of magical skills and talents, choosing just the right ones for each of us before breathing life into our souls — infusing us with the special gifts and potential He wants us to carry forward through life.

For Michael B. Chambers and Eric F. Scholl, the magic manifested in storytelling — the use of words and music, videography and photography, to share their own experiences and the world they saw around them.

The two met in 1964 and, though born of different parents, they were connected as if from the same womb. For the next 56 years, influenced by a host of other artists, they made music and memories, and challenged each other to be the best they could be. Their music is timeless and definitely worth sharing.

Seven years their junior, Michael’s little brother, Sean, was often locked out of their early jam sessions. Over time, though, little brother became ‘Big Sean,’ and his close relationship with both Michael and Eric, along with his talent for drumming, and education as a recording engineer made him irreplaceable.

Michael left us on 9.6.20 at 11:11 pm after a brief battle with cancer. But, together with Eric, he left a vast and wonderful catalogue.

I was fortunate to be wrapped in the magic that was Michael, to be his wife and ‘number one groupie’, and to be surrounded by the music for more than 40 years.  And I am beyond blessed to have been given this gift and the gift of extended family and friends through him.

We look forward to sharing this timeless music publicly here, and hope to have artists interested in performing their songs.
